In general terms my experience as a researcher has focused on the field of phytoplankton ecophysiology and biotechnology. My activities have allowed me to contribute to obtaining funding at different levels (regional and national) trhough stays, grants and projects, contibuting with 27 JCR papers, > 40 abstracts and conference papers and one research book chapter. In the latter years I have participated in 5 national projects, one regional and two contracts, this latter focused in the production and recovery of biomass from microalgae. I have supervised 12 Master Sc Thesis, 2 Laureas spetialistica, 14 Final Degree projects and 1 PhD. At date Im supervising another PhD. I have been frequent reviewer of JCR journals and I have reviewed 12 projects for the ANEP. At 2009, I got finantial support for my first Project as PI (INDIAL; Ref CTM2008/01198) centered in the study of the ecological role and natural distribution of polyunsaturated aldehydes (PUA), allelopathic metabolites mainly released by diatoms, and standarized the analysis of this substances in marine environments by GS/MS techniques. Nowadays, Im the PI of the Project FICOEXPLORA from the Ministery of science, innovation and universities (Ref. RTI2018- 101272-B-I00). This Project is centered in the study of interactions between PUA producers phytoplankter and associated prokaryotes and it will be extended until December 2022. I was assistant profesor at the Area of Botany of the University of Cádiz since 2006, and I got a permanent position as Lecturer at 2017. Together with my research activities I have been giving lessons at the University since 2001 at 3 Degrees (Marine Science, Environmental Science and Biotechnology), two Masters (Master in Oceanography and Master in comprehensive water management) and Doctoral Courses (EIDEMAR doctorate school). I have also participated as a researcher in various collaboration projects with companies, highlighting as a Business and Territorial Innovation Project the one entitled "The Application of bioluminescent microorganisms in gastronomy, Cultivation, characterization and feasibility study as human food" with the Company: MAR CRISTAL MARILUM S.L. Likewise, I have collaborated in Subcontract within the framework of the project of the National Plan for Singular and Strategic.
